MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The ABC/SSRS online poll found that 59 percent feared that voting for a candidate from a minor party could cause their least-preferred candidate to win in the US presidential race, the ABC broadcaster said.
A survey by ABC News and the Washington Post earlier in August revealed that six in ten Americans were unhappy about having to choose between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump as the major-party contenders.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online White House Watch survey of Likely US Voters put Clinton in the lead with 41 percent support to Trump's 39 percent. Trump had been losing ground since the Republican National Convention ended in mid-July.
The US presidential election is scheduled to take place on November 8.
